The calculators provide estimates

Every output — gallons needed, mix splits, kit counts, cost estimates — is an informational estimate built from the published coverage formula, the brand rates we cite, and your declared inputs. They are not engineering advice, not a formulation guarantee, and not a substitute for the datasheet of the exact product you buy or for a licensed professional where one is warranted (structural encapsulations and commercial installs in particular).

Content licensing

Article text and the formula write-ups are copyrighted with standard attribution rights: quote with a link. The formula constants themselves (231 in³/gal, the 1604 rule, unit conversions) are public knowledge — cite the primary sources we cite, not us.

Brand names

Manufacturer and brand names are trademarks of their respective owners, used here for identification and comparison under nominative fair use. No affiliation or endorsement is implied — the opposite, in fact: this site exists because brand-owned calculators don't compare across brands.

Affiliate disclosure

Where present, retailer links may be affiliate links that earn us a commission on purchases at no cost to you. Commissions never influence a specification, a table row or a calculator result — the about page documents how every number is produced.
